THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF TRANSPORT (NIT) The National Institute of Transport (NIT) offers the following evening computer short course programmes (4:00PM-8:00PM) as follows 1. OFFICE AUTOMATION TOOLS
Objectives

To provide participants with basic knowledge and skills to operate computers and their peripherals  To introduce participants with various IT application skills to kick start career
Target group: The programme is open to all group of people with strong desire to excel in ICT industry Duration: 5 weeks (50Hours) Fees (Tshs): 180,000/= Module Contents: 1.1 Introduction to Computers and Internet Basics, [1/2 week]
1.2 Introduction to Microsoft Word 2007/2010, [1 week]
1.3 Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007/2010, [1 week]
1.4 Introduction to Microsoft Power Point 2007/2010, [1 week]
1.5 Introduction to Microsoft Publisher 2007/2010 [1 week]
Preparations & Examination [1/2 week]
2. ADVANCED OFFICE AUTOMATION TOOLS
Objectives

To provide participants with advanced knowledge and skills to operate computers and their peripherals,  To add credentials to candidates who have completed or are pursuing courses in other fields in which IT applications are of vital importance.
Target Group:
Candidates who have done Basic Office Automation Tools course and any other person with introductory knowledge on Computer Applications,  Candidates from other courses (within and outside the institute) who need to polish their Computer application skills.
